Sketches in the Japanese Garden

This was a serene experience. I really enjoyed sketching and taking pictures in the garden. I think personally I enjoyed the photography aspect more because it is more of what I am used to. However, as far as sketching goes, I felt really good about my abstract sketches because I love being able to use my imagination to create a sort of feeling about something, such as the drawing of the duck on the water where half of its body is bone. I appreciate representation in both photos as well as drawing. However, there is something about abstraction that just speaks to me. Being able to encapsulate a feeling from something based off of your own conception and your mindset really resonates with me.
